The Swiss Agency for the Development of Human Rights announced the appointment of Youcef Baadja as its president

    Geneva, Switzerland

On February 16, the Swiss Agency for the Development of Human Rights (ASDH) announced the appointment of Youcef Baadja as its president. The ASDH is an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights worldwide. Accredited by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), it strives to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda, while focusing on strengthening local capacities and improving the living conditions of disadvantaged communities.

Youcef Baadja, a Swiss entrepreneur and economist of Algerian origin, is the founder of Baadja & Partners Group, a company specializing in the import-export, logistics, and distribution of essential goods. Since its establishment in 2000, the company has become a major player in international trade, thanks to a commitment to innovation and sustainability. Baadja notably introduced logistics solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of goods transport, stating that “innovation and sustainability are no longer options, but necessities.”

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Youcef Baadja is recognized for his humanitarian commitment. In 2009, he initiated an export operation to Algeria, including products such as cement and sugar, thereby contributing to the region’s economic and social development. He also participates in educational and support projects for underprivileged populations, emphasizing that “success is not measured solely by economic growth, but by the impact we have on people’s lives.”

As president of the ASDH, Youcef Baadja plans to reinforce the organization’s initiatives in support of human rights and sustainable development. Under his leadership, the ASDH aims to intensify its efforts to promote fundamental rights through strategic partnerships and concrete action on the ground. Baadja’s appointment to the head of the ASDH marks a significant milestone for the organization, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to protecting human rights on a global scale.
